Fancy making your own Cranberry Sauce this Christmas? With this amazing self fertile, 4 year old evergreen shrub -you can!
Producing tasty small cranberries but with thinner skin, this low growing, hardy Vaccinium Fireballs would make a wonderfully unusual addition to any outdoor space. With clusters of bell shaped white flowers in the Summer transforming into masses of brilliant red fruits, this shrub provides interest all year round and there is nothin like picking your own fruits. The fruits will hold well on the plant so there is no mad rush to pick them all in one go and it is also self fertile so no need to buy multiple plants (although it is tempting!)
Simply plant up in the Taupe Planter supplied which will compliment the colours beautifully, using ericaceous compost and position in a sunny spot outside. The planter also has a saucer which is ideal as the Vaccinium prefers moist conditions.
