Planting and Flowering Information
Likes Moist Well Drained, Ericaceous Soil soil and is Fully Hardy
With evergreen foliage, Winter buds, scented Spring flowers and the added bonus of red berries, Skimmia reevesiana would be an absolute delight to maybe fill a gap in the garden or have in a container on your patio or balcony.
Skimmia reevesiana forms clusters of buds in the Autumn/Winter which gradually open to reveal petite, aromatic white flowers in the Spring (appealing to the bees and butterflies) and as this is a self-fertile variety, red berries follow in the Autumn and can last until Spring (depending on how hungry the birds are). Gently aromatic, substantial, lush, glossy leaves give all year round to interest and compliment the clusters of buds/flowers beautifully.
Supplied as an established shrub in a 1.5 litre pot, this Skimmia reevesiana measures approximately 20cm on receipt
