Description

As the name suggests, this exquisite Acer has very finely serrated foliage which appears red initially before turning green in hotter summers followed by a display of crimson in the Autumn. A highly ornamental variety with lacey leaves and a weeping habit giving garden interest for many months. This truly beautiful acer is ideal for planting in large pots or containers as a low maintenance, slow growing specimen plant or will be equally happy planted in beds and borders. Simply keep the soil moist, feed just twice a year with a slow release fertiliser and only prune in the Summer if necessary.
Fully hardy garden plant although prefers a site sheltered from cold winds and best planted in ericaceous compost or acidic soils.
