Description

Native copper beech trees make a beautiful hedge or garden screen when planted closely together.

Beech is deciduous but its leaves turn crispy golden brown and curl with some hanging onto the plant throughout winter. It has twiggy, zig zagged branches with attractive leaf buds which swell in spring opening to a delightful copper colour. Creating a lovely screen which not only looks great, makes a home for insects and wildlife and act as excellent noise reducers.

Fagus sylvatica - common name Beech trees - is a slow growing tree which develops small inconspicuous catkins in summer.
Hardy in all locations and will thrive almost anywhere.

Supplied as 40-60cm bare root plants during the winter dormant season for immediate planting. The most cost effective way to plant a hedge.

For Beech we recommend 5 plants per linear meter which is best planted in a zig zag formation for quicker establishment.
