Description

Golden variegated glossy leaves brighten up any garden spot. Privet grows relatively quickly and responds superbly to being sheared into shape. Hedges make excellent living walls dividing garden boundaries and dividing garden areas such as the lawn and vegetable garden. Privet is a semi evergreen plant. Semi evergreen means it will lose some leaves but still keeps the majority during winter. Its deep green shiny leaves create a lovely dense screen which looks great, makes a home for insects and wildlife and act as excellent noise reducers. Latin name Ligustrum ovalifolium, Privet is hardy in all locations and will thrive almost anywhere.
Supplied as 40-60cm bare root plants during the winter/ early spring dormant season for immediate planting.
For Privet we recommend 5 plants per linear meter, plants in a slight zig zag formation. In sheltered areas 3 plants per metre would suffice. If left to flower has lovely white fragrant blooms.
