Strawberries are really easy to grow and these are no exception. A 2 year old bare rooted plant can be planted into beds or containers and produce a crop this summer.

Elsanta is mid season cropping. It will crop late June to early July. The fruits are mouth wateringly delicious and is a really popular variety sold commercially to Supermarkets for years. Unlike Supermarket fruits these are picked home grown from your garden and are especially delicious when warmed by the summer sun.

Expect a reliable crop with a wonderful aroma with 5-10 strawberries per plant in its first year. by year 3 expect 20-30 per plant.

Strawberry plants are best replaced every 3 - 4 years for optimum harvests. A good tip is to refresh a few of your plants every year by buying fresh disease free certified plants for guaranteed harvests.
