Commonly known as the Butterfly Bush this selection has been bred to be compact.
Extra-long panicles of intriguing honey scented flowers which are highly attractive to butterflies especially the Monarch Butterfly, and other beneficial insects. Dead head faded blooms to promote more.
Being both low maintenance and drought tolerant make it a great addition to the garden border or container growing as it requires little attention but will give big rewards year after year.
Unlike wild buddleias that self seed growing along railway sideings this Buddleia is compact. Short stems between leaves give a dense foliaged plant which is ideal for the smaller garden.
The beautiful flowers are offset by the golden green foliage which falls in autumn to reveal twiggy grey stems. Hard prune to 20cm / 8in from the ground to keep in shape in autumn.
