Amelanchier October Flame is a fantastic, fully hardy, low maintenance plant to give height, colour, structure and form in the garden.
More compact than some varieties and with a naturally upright habit. October Flame bears pure white, star shaped flowers in April and May on bare stems. New leaves appear green tinged bronze before maturing to a rich shade of green. Following the flowers berries appear which mature to dark purple and are loved by the birds.
In the Autumn October Flame will put on a real show in the garden, with foliage turning spectacular shades or orange and red.
