We love all Ceanothus here at Plants2Gardens but El Dorado is a favourite!
The evergreen foliage on this fully hardy shrub is dark green with lime green margins. In May and June, mid-blue flowers smother the plant and are a magnet for pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
Heat and drought tolerant, Ceanothus are a low maintenace, fuss free addition to the garden, repaying the minimum of effort with many years of garden performance.
El Dorado grows to around 120cm in height and 150cm spread and can be grown well in large containers as well as beds and borders.
