Description

What a summertime beauty known as the Californian Lilac.

This evergreen shrub has glossy ovate shaped leaves all along its young green stemmed branches. In late spring to early summer tiny dark blue flowers in thumb sized clusters will appear in abundance all over the canopy. Each one on its own stem displaying proud of the foliage. The lightly scented blooms are loved by pollinating insects.

Ceanothus make great wall shrubs as well as rounded border shrubs and are easy care plants that need a sunny free from cold wind site where it will thrive even in poor soils.

Simply prune immediately after flowering any unwanted growth and pruning with shears across the foliage is ideal.

Supplied as a multi stemmed plant approximately 60-90cm tall.
