Acer palmatum Atropurpureum (3 Litre)

A stunning, statement piece! Acers are loved by many due to their exquisite foliage and the colour changing leaves of Atropurpureum will undoubtedly get heads turning.

Also referred to as Purple Japanese Maple, these small, bushy, trees display elegant, rich purple foliage with deep lobes throughout the Spring and Summer turning scarlet red as they age in the Autumn before falling.

Petite red/purple flowers appear in the Spring, occasionally followed by small fruits and this slow growing tree can reach heights of 4-8 metres but over many many years.

This Acer would prefer a little shelter from the cold, strong winds but on the whole, it is pretty low maintenance and as always, care instructions will be included.
