We absolutely love Verbena Bonariensis and believe these are a must have for any garden!
The RHS have also recognised the outstanding performance and beauty of this plant by awarding it their AGM as well as it appearing on their Perfect for Pollinators listing. Flowering from June to September and beyond with tightly packed clusters of purple flowers which sit atop architectural tall stems and with the added bonus of being disease and pest resistant.
This elegant, perennial likes the sun and will be happy in any soil with just a slow release fertiliser feed twice a year in Spring and again in the Autumn. Simply cut back the stems in early Spring and the new growth will come from the base, remove the spent flowers in the Autumn leaving a few if you would like it to self seed.
