Pear Conference
With an RHS Award of Garden Merit it is no surprise that Conference Pears are a real customer favourite as the shrubs are consistent to crop, producing high yields of sweet and juicy fruits ready to harvest from late September onwards.
Pears are one of the easiest fruits to grow and care for, simply keep it watered and feed just twice a year with a slow-release fertiliser in Spring and Autumn.
This tree has been grown on Quince C rootstock meaning the tree will only grow to approximately 2.5 to 3 metres if left unpruned. We do however recommend pruning the tree each Winter to remove any dead/damaged branches as well as any that cross over, although full instructions will be supplied so no need to remember everything. This wonderful pear tree displays pretty blossom in the Spring before producing its tasty fruits and would be a fabulous addition to your fruit collection or even a great place to start your 'grow your own' area! Perfectly sized for a mini orchard area or happy in a large 30/40cm container, this self-fertile tree will not take over your garden.
On arrival simply heal in as shown in the image until the weather allows or final planting space has been created. Final planting should take place before end of April.
Supplied as a bare root tree, this Pear Conference measures approximately 1-1.2 metres on receipt.
