Hardy Fuchsia Alice Hoffman - Dispatches from 12th June

Easy to grow classic garden staple.

A rounded bush shaped plant with pretty pink and green stems and dark green, pointed, serrated edged leaves which can have an attractive bronze tinge. Its flowers are Red with white petals.

In summer pendulous blooms hang from the stems. Each bloom forms into a bubble shape which make a satisfying 'pop' if you squeeze them. Each flower hangs like a spinning dancers dress as its outer sepals curl up to reveal its coloured petals beneath. As each flower fades they simply drop off so no messy deadheading.

For best results grow in full sun or partial shade for months of beautiful semi double blooms each year.

Alice Hoffman will grow to approximately 60cm in height and spread and is great in beds and borders or pots and containers

Fuchsia hate their feet being wet in winter and prefer to be sheltered from cold winds.
