Acer Palmatum Black Lace (4 Litre)

Also known as Japanese Maple, Acers have been a garden favourite for decades due to their remarkable foliage, making a real statement in your garden and Black Lace is no exception.

The pinnate leaves on this ornamental shrub start off burgundy/purple in spring travelling through the shades to bright red in the Autumn and clusters of petite green flowers appear in spring.

Japanese acers prefer part sun but will tolerate full sun and do not like exposed conditions where winds can shred its foliage.

Acer Black Lace can grow up to 3.5 meters but this would take approximately 20-30 years, the shrub/tree can be pruned in late Autumn/Winter and all in all, it is pretty low maintenance. Simply feed once in the Spring and again in the Autumn with a slow release fertiliser.
