An unusual deciduous shrub bearing burgundy red flowers that are almost water-lily like in shape.

Known as the Spicebush because its flowers have a fruity fragrance whilst its bark has a camphor scent when scratched. With dense glossy, yellow green foliage this plant really fills a spot in the border. After flowering an urn shaped fruit capsule is formed for the birds. Note all parts are NOT suitable for human consumption.

A hardy, low maintenance shrub that can be grown in beds, borders or large pots with a simple trim after flowering to keep in shape. Remove some of the thicker stems every few years to encourage fresh stems.

Supplied in a 3 litre pot with an approximate height of 40-60cm
