Masses of white blooms with a yellow eye!

This beautiful evergreen Rock Rose is a real asset in the garden. Bearing masses of white flowers with rich yellow centres during the early summer months.

The evergreen foliage is dark green in colour which really sets off the white blooms and in the autumn and winter months the foliage takes on a gorgeous bronze flush.

Cistus is ideal for a sunny spot in the garden and will happily tolerate poorer soils, coastal locations and is drought tolerant once established.

About This Plant

Rock roses carry the toughness of the Mediterranean hillsides where their parents grow wild, and Thrive is a modern hybrid selected for good garden manners. Each papery bloom lasts a single day, yet buds open in such numbers that the display rolls on for weeks, and in colder months the dark leaves take on a bronze flush.

Care is minimal by design. Give it sharp drainage, skip the feed (rich living makes rock roses soft and leggy) and pinch the shoot tips lightly once flowering finishes to keep the dome dense. Avoid cutting into old bare wood, as plants rarely recover; a tired leggy specimen is better replaced.
