Unique flowers on this gorgeous, aromatic Salvia
Unusual violet coloured blooms fading to its white fringed and crimped lower lips look reminiscent of a 19th century crinoline dress. They adorn the flowering stem and will continue to flower all summer long and into late autumn. New flowers open along the stems as they grow and appear above its fresh green sage scented foliage.
A relative of Salvia greggii this Mediterranean salvia is hardy. Requiring a full sun sheltered position with free draining soils or grown in a patio pot this is a stunning variety for the garden.
Easy to care for, in late spring trim off the foliage with shears to re shape, avoiding cutting too much into old wood. Top dress with food and watch it grow
