A colourful delight for the garden which makes an impressive show when planted in front of a fence or other contrasting background.
Its bare twiggy stems in winter are soon covered with a delightful green and cream edged leaf. In early summer hundreds of tubular shaped light pink non scented blooms cover the plant and are loved by pollinating insects.
Easy to care for this Weigela will grow in a container too.
When established simply prune each year in midsummer after flowering, removing one or two of the older stems to the base and cutting back the flowered stems to strong shoots below the spent flowers to shape.
