A beautiful form of Yucca. Evergreen gold edged grey green spiky leaves form a central 'rosette'. This clump forming plant produces baby rosettes beside the main 'rosette'.
In hot summers a thick shoot raises from the rosette up to 1.5m high from which creamy white bell shaped flowers hang.

About This Plant

Bright Edge is a variegated form of Yucca flaccida, a stemless evergreen from the sandy woodlands and open ground of the south-eastern United States. Each rosette carries sword-shaped leaves striped gold at the margins, with fine curling threads peeling from the edges, and offsets form new rosettes around the parent over time.

In a warm year a thick stem rises from the centre and hangs with creamy, bell-shaped flowers. Little upkeep is needed beyond sharp drainage; cut the spent flower spike out at the base once it fades, and remove any tired lower leaves to keep the rosette clean.
