Expert advice, month after month
Every club email is written for people with a real garden and a normal weekend. It covers the handful of jobs worth doing before the weather turns, in plain English, and it is the same advice you'll find on our growing tips panels. We just send it when the timing actually matters.
In this month's email:
- Keep deadheading. Dahlias and roses especially. Take the spent heads off and they'll keep flowering into autumn.
- Water pots daily, feed weekly. Containers dry out fast in August, and a high potash feed keeps the show going.
- Choose your spring bulbs. Daffodils and alliums go in from September, so pick them now. Tulips can wait until November.
