Striking two-tone leaves with panicles of creamy white flowers.

Heuchera Silver Scrolls has lightly frilled foliage, silver in colour with a deep maroon underside. Foliage has dark veining giving this fabulous two-one effect.

During the summer months tall red stems hold creamy white panicles of delicate flowers above the foliage.

Clump forming semi-evergreen perennials that are easy to care for.

What This Plant Brings to Your Garden

Good for cutting

Slender red stems carry airy sprays of creamy white flowers well above the leaves, and they last in a vase, bringing the border indoors.

Winter foliage colour

The metallic leaves shift with the seasons, taking on a rich violet cast in the cold months so the plant earns its keep long after flowering.

Thrives in shade

Happy in dappled or partial shade, this clump-former lights up dim corners where the silver leaves and dark veining show at their strongest.

About This Plant

Silver Scrolls was raised by Charles Oliver at The Primrose Path in Pennsylvania, and it took a bronze medal at Plantarium 2000 in the Netherlands. The rounded leaves are frilled at the edge, silver on top with a deep maroon reverse and dark veining that reads like ironwork laid over a pale ground.

Through the year the mound stays low and neat, the foliage darkening and warming with the seasons while summer brings the flower stems. Care is light: lift and divide the clump every three or four years to keep it vigorous, and firm plants back down after frost if the crown heaves up over winter.
