Scarlet red saucer shaped blooms with black spots.

Its easy to see how this plant got its name when you experience the profusion of scarlet red saucer shaped blooms with distinctive black spots are the base of each flower.

Whilst each flower only lasts a few days there are always a mass of buds waiting to pop open! Flowering thorughout the summer month this hardy annual is a delight to have in the garden.

Deadhead reguarly to encourage repeat flowering but be sure to leave some spent heads on towards the end of the season as these will set seed and ensure you have another fabulous display next year.

Plants prefer to grow in full sun and poorer soils.
