A striking feature plant in the garden.
Planted either on its own or as a matching pair either side of an entrance this plant will look stunning.
Its evergreen grey green sword like foliage is edged in bright pink and will gently sway in the wind. In hot summers phormium may send up a spike with unusual shaped and tropial coloured blooms.
Phormiums require free draining soil as they do not like their feet wet in winter. In wet areas or heavy soils plant in containers.
