Apricot-orange blooms on tall stems add structure and movement to the border.

Geums are a fabulous addition to the cottage garden and Totally Tangering is no exception!

Apricot-orange blooms are born in abundance from June through to September. Held on tall stems above the attactive foliage, flowers look like they dance above the border in a gentle summer breeze.

Loved by the bees, Geums are great for polinators in the garden and being perennial they will perform in the border year after year.

Supplied as 1 x 2ltr plant

What This Plant Brings to Your Garden

Carries an RHS award

Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, a reliable sign this apricot geum earns its place and performs well in ordinary garden conditions.

Months of colour

Because the plant is sterile it never sets seed, so it channels energy into fresh buds and keeps flowering far longer than most border perennials.

Movement above the border

Slim, branching stems hold the apricot flowers high, where they sway on the lightest breeze and give the border a sense of movement.

About This Plant

Tim Crowther of Walberton Plants raised this apricot-orange geum, and Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants launched it at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2010, where it quickly became a designer favourite. It grew from breeding trials as a chance seedling, taller and sterile, quite unlike what its raiser had been aiming for.

The airy, branching stems give a see-through quality that mixes well with grasses and looser planting. Being sterile, it never wastes effort on seed, so deadheading is less about tidiness and more optional. Give it free-draining ground, and lift and divide the clump every few years to keep the display strong.
