Lavender blue flower for months on end.

Nepeta Kit Kat is a more compact form of Nepeta which bears beuatiful lavender blue flowers on strong and upright stems from June through to September.

Being a dwarf variety it is ideal for growing a edging to pathways or borders or in pots and containers.

Attractive and aromatic grey-green foliage adds an extra level of interest to this drought-tolerant, hardy perennial plant.

Nepeta Kit Kat holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its great garden performance.

Supplied as 1 x 2ltr plant

What This Plant Brings to Your Garden

Bees adore it

Lavender-blue spikes from June to September keep bumblebees, honeybees and butterflies fed for four months, one of the longest nectar seasons of any border perennial.

An RHS award winner

Kit Kat holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, granted after trials confirmed its dependable garden performance and tidy, upright habit.

Copes with drought

Once established it tolerates dry spells with ease, thriving in hot corners and free-draining soil where thirstier perennials give up.

About This Plant

Faassen's catmint is a sterile hybrid that first appeared in the Dutch nursery of Jac. Faassen, after whom it is named. Kit Kat is a modern selection from that line, chosen because it holds itself together where older catmints tend to flop open and sprawl across their neighbours.

Cats will tell you the aromatic leaves are the main event, rolling in them given half a chance, and the same scent helps deter rabbits and deer. Shear the plant back by half once the first flush fades and fresh flowering stems follow within weeks. Leave the final cut-down until early spring.
