Your tropical garden is incomplete until you grow this. Large paddle shaped levaes with heavy veins create some impact and a holiday theme in your garden. Its huge paddle shaped green with yellow veined leaves reach up to 2m in length in the sunniest of spots.
In hot summers it bears arching clusters of yellow flowers on purple bratcs with small but fully edible banana fruits.
A tender evergreen sukering perennial it is best treated as follows. In autumn dig up or move container into a frost free shed. Trim all leaves off to its bulbous trunk. Pot up and begin watering sparingly again in spring to encourage into life.
Supplied as a 2 litre pot grown plant which is approx 30cm tall, depending on its month of despatch.
