Vitex Pink Pinnacle (3 Litre)

Vitex agnus-castus, the chaste tree, grows wild around the Mediterranean and into western Asia, where its aromatic leaves have a long history of use. Pink Pinnacle is a compact selection of it, chosen for pink flower spikes that stand well above the grey-green foliage in the second half of summer.

Flowering comes on the current season's growth, so the one job that matters is cutting the whole plant back hard each spring, to around thirty centimetres, which pushes strong new shoots to carry that year's blooms. Shelter from drying winds also helps, since exposed positions can scorch the soft leaves.
