Caryopteris Kew Blue (3 Litre)

Established in Kew Gardens in 1945, this Caryopteris Kew Blue will not let you down! A reliable, robust, low maintenance, mature and hardy compact shrub that will grow in almost all conditions. A perfect edge of border addition with its compact and rounded shape of attractive, delicate, grey-green foliage which is also beautifully scented. A late flowering shrub giving an abundance of small, dark blue flowers growing up tall spikes in clusters from August to October when most other shrubs have finished. This plant really has it all and is tolerant to all weather conditions and disease. It is also a wildlife wonder, the bees and butterflies will love it! Full sun would really be appreciated to achieve maximum blooms but its not fussy about what type of soil you have as long as it drains well. This Caryopteris will grow to approximately 1 metre in height and spread but we recommend a hard prune to shape in Spring (full care instructions will be supplied).
