Create a Spring sensation in the garden!

Newer breeding - this beautiful Olearia Spring Bling is set to create a stir in the garden this Spring and for many Springs to come!

Low in maintenance and big in performance Spring Bling bears an absolute mass of white, daisy like flowers in May and June. And not only will these beautiful blooms please you, but they are also adored by the bees and butterflies too!

Fully hardy and evergreen - this amazing shrub has aromatic, silvery-green foliage and a dense, upright habit.

Growing to around 150cm height and spread, plant in borders or large containers on the patio in full sun or partial shade.

What This Plant Brings to Your Garden

Daisies by the hundred

In May and June the whole shrub disappears under a froth of small white daisy flowers, each with a neat yellow eye.

A feast for insects

Bees, butterflies and hoverflies work the open daisy flowers steadily through late spring, when many gardens have little nectar on offer.

Leaves that smell good

Brush past the narrow grey-green foliage and it releases a pleasing aroma, an unusual bonus in a hardy flowering shrub.

About This Plant

In the wild, Olearia phlogopappa grows from coastal heath to mountain slopes across Tasmania and south-eastern Australia, where it is called the dusty daisy bush. Spring Bling is a recent selection, protected by plant breeders' rights, picked out for a denser habit and far heavier flowering than the species usually manages.

The shrub keeps its silvery evergreen colour through winter and asks for very little in return. Trim it lightly once the flowers fade to keep growth dense, give it shelter from cold, drying winds, and avoid soil that sits wet. A mulch of compost after pruning sets it up for the year.
