New breeding bearing double white flower.

Prunus Persica Taoflora White bears large, double blooms measuring 3-5cm across in March and April.

In addition to the wonderful blooms, this ornamental peach puts on a glorious autumn display when folaige turns golden yellow.

Disease resistant and hardy to -18c. Taoflora can be grown in beds and borders or large pots and containers.

What This Plant Brings to Your Garden

Double white blossom

Large double white blooms line the bare branches in early spring, each flower measuring three to five centimetres across.

Early nectar source

The nectar-rich blossom draws honeybees and other early insects out foraging before most orchard fruit has come into flower.

Golden autumn foliage

Once flowering ends the leaves carry the display on, turning warm golden yellow before they fall in autumn.

About This Plant

Taoflora is a modern ornamental peach, a recent introduction bred from the Chinese peach for its flowers. It makes an open, upright small tree that flushes with double white blossom straight onto the bare wood, well before the first leaves appear.

Bred for good disease resistance and hardy well below freezing, it copes with a British spring more calmly than many peaches. Plant in free-draining ground or a large pot, prune lightly just after flowering to keep it shapely, and shelter early blossom from sharp late frosts.
