Gardening Blog - Positively Primrose

Welcome Winter Colour - Positively Primrose!

They’ve surprised me again, as I hoped they would. Popping up randomly in my garden beds, my Primroses from the last few years that I transferred from their pots and erratically planted in spaces between shrubs.  I can’t resist at least one new variety every Autumn/Winter to plant up into the patio pots and it’s kind of satisfying to see the previous year’s plants enjoying their new homes in the garden too.

Primroses have oodles of positives, giving us some very welcomed colour throughout the tricky Winter months and right through until the Spring, pretty much 7 months of colour!  These lightly scented garden saviours are perfect in a pot near my door giving me an uplifting feeling as I leave and return home each day when, let’s face it, the weather can be a little grim.

The only real issue is trying to decide which variety to add each year, but hey, it’s a good problem to have as it goes.  Have a little peruse at the delightful colours we have on the website; we have personally selected each variety and we hope that you agree, they are beauties!  The added bonus is that we also have a new Primrose Patio Planter Pair as the deal of the week, what a fab treat, or gift as we can deliver direct to a friend

I love the fact that Primroses also help to feed the beneficially insects at this time of year when pollen can be in short supply.  Whether it be in your garden bed/border or patio pots, these weather-tolerant, garden ready treasures bring me Winter cheer and just a little dead heading can encourage masses of flowers for months to come.

Take care everyone and feel free to send me a photo or 2 of what is brightening up your garden during these cooler months.
